Goldenrod Gap is a refuge nestled in the mountains of eastern Kentucky, minutes from Red River Gorge, Natural Bridge, Cave Run Lake, Broke Leg Falls Park and the Sheltowee Trace Trail.
TRAILS:oss a bridge and welcomed by two majestic hillsides onto the 35 acre property . These hills have 3 marked trails, which are accessible by foot, no motorized vehicles or horses are permitted.  Trails range from easy to moderate to strenuous, distances vary as well, short hikes take minutes.
Along with the older trees, there is goldenrod , Joe-Pye weed and butterfly weed.
CAMPSITES:

Campsites are easily accessed from the highway and include water, electricity and high speed internet. We offer several sites for camping. There is electrical hookup, city water and an RV dump station.  There is a primitive campsite on top of the ridge to the left of the butterfly trail with an outhouse nearby.
The entrance to cross into the camp is limited to shorter trailers, camper vans and campers or RVs under 25 feet long.

Please drop in after a long days journey on the trails, cliffs or a day on the lake and enjoy a respite from the hustle and bustle of the world out there. Pitch a tent and sleep under a clear bed of stars, which will produce a glorious display,
especially if you are viewing from the ridge line and if you are lucky poorwill trill.
